The polyphenols from olive oil attach to the omega-3 fatty acids and function as antioxidants. This reduces oxidation of the fatty acids.⁹ The polyphenols in olive oil have similarities to polyphenols found naturally in fish and accompany the omega-3 fatty acids through the body until absorption into cell membranes. This cooperation between polyphenols and marine fatty acids allows omega-3 levels to be effectively absorbed and regulated within the body.

Data from an extensive international database of essential fatty acids (more than 800,000 analyses conducted by Vitas Analytical Services) show that the average omega-6:3 ratio is relatively high in people without omega-3 supplementation. Spanish extra virgin olive oil in BalanceOil Tutti Frutti

BalanceOil Tutti Frutti contains extra virgin olive oil derived from the Spanish Picual olive. These olives are selected for their natural content of omega-9 fatty acids and antioxidants. The olives are harvested early, with the seeds removed and only the flesh cold pressed. This process results in an extra virgin oil with a high polyphenol content (more than 750 mg/kg).

The polyphenols help protect the oil in the bottle and are retained during storage and use. These properties make the olive oil a functional part of the overall composition of BalanceOil Tuttifrutti.

The unique blend of fish oils

The fish oil in BalanceOil Tuttifrutti consists of a selected fish oil blend with an EPA/DHA ratio of 20/10, which differs from the common industry standard of 18/12. The oil contains several omega-3 fatty acids (EPA, DHA, DPA) and omega-7 fatty acids (POA, VA).

The fish species used are short-lived, wild-caught small pelagic fish, primarily anchovies, supplemented by sardine and mackerel. The fish oil comes from fishing areas certified under Friend of the Sea guidelines for sustainable fishing and controlled water quality.

The fish is steamed without the use of chemicals or solvents, after which the oil is mechanically pressed. The oil then undergoes a multi-step refining process by LYSI in Iceland, aimed at removing unwanted odors, flavors and possible contaminants. This production process meets international quality standards and GMP guidelines.

Natural tocopherols

BalanceOil+ contains a blend of natural tocopherols used as antioxidants. These tocopherols are extracted from GMO-free, highly refined soybean oil distillates. During further processing, any soy proteins are removed, so the product contains no allergenic residues. The tocopherols consist of a combination of alpha, beta, gamma and delta tocopherols.

Pure vitamin ^D3

BalanceOil+ is enriched with vitamin ^D3 (cholecalciferol). A natural lanolin-based source, a fat derived from sheep's wool, is used for this purpose. The vitamin ^D3 is produced through a controlled process in which a precursor substance from lanolin is converted and activated by ultraviolet (UV) light. This process shares similarities with the natural production of vitamin ^D3 in the skin under the influence of sunlight.
