Almonds
Almonds are highly nutritious nuts and a rich source of vitamin E, manganese, and magnesium. Almonds are a source of copper, phosphorus, niacin, fiber, and antioxidants. Compared to all other nuts, they are richer in nutrients and beneficial components such as healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats and antioxidants. Almonds contain naturally occurring sugars.
Dates
Dates are a good source of iron, fiber, vitamin A, and potassium. Essential minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, sodium, magnesium, and zinc make them one of the healthiest foods in the world. Dates are high in soluble fiber, which is essential for promoting healthy bowel movements and the comfortable passage of food through the digestive tract. Dates contain naturally occurring sugars such as glucose, fructose, and sucrose. That’s why they make the perfect snack for an instant energy boost.
Pumpkin Seeds
Pumpkin seeds contain a wide range of antioxidant phytonutrients, including phenolic acids and polyphenols such as lignans. Pumpkin seeds also contain health-promoting phytosterols. Pumpkin seeds are a very rich source of zinc, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, manganese, and copper, and the World Health Organization recommends consuming them as a good way to obtain these nutrients. In addition, pumpkin seeds are a great source of dietary fiber, protein, and the essential fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6.
Sesame seeds
Sesame seeds are beneficial to health due to their nutritional value: vitamins, minerals, natural oils, and organic compounds consisting of calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese, copper, zinc, dietary fiber, thiamine, vitamin B6, folate, protein, and tryptophan. Dried whole sesame seeds consist of 23% carbohydrates, including 12% dietary fiber, 50% fat, and 18% protein.
Quinoa
Quinoa is high in protein and is one of the few plant-based foods that contain all nine essential amino acids. For this reason, it is an excellent source of protein. It contains both more and higher-quality protein than most grains. It is also high in fiber, magnesium, B vitamins, iron, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin E, and flavonoids, which are plant-based antioxidants.
Chia Seeds
Chia seeds are highly nutrient-dense, provide an energy boost, and are among the most popular superfoods in the health community. The reason chia seeds are so beneficial is due to their high content of fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, protein, vitamins A, B, E, and D, and minerals such as sulfur, iron, iodine, magnesium, manganese, niacin, and thiamine; they are also a rich source of antioxidants.
Inulin
Inulin is a soluble dietary fiber found in many plants, but it is most commonly extracted from chicory. However, this naturally occurring polysaccharide/fructan is unprocessed, so inulin has a minimal impact on blood sugar levels. It increases calcium absorption and possibly magnesium absorption, while promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria in the large intestine.
Note: May contain egg, milk, soy, gluten-containing grains, sesame, peanuts, and products derived from them.
